The collage practice is often associated with fine or visual art, where it originally stemmed from. However, this technique is not confined to two-dimensional works, it has been adapted to various mediums including literature, music, architecture and “at the heart of the century’s most important art medium - the motion picture”.
The presence of film is ubiquitous in our lives, we live in an age where literacy in moving images is imperative in wider literacy, it has become a crux in the way we communicate and do business. This compendium discusses the manifestation of collage in film and how the collage has been adapted to enhance narratives.
